Rev. Carl W. McDowell, Jr.

Carl Wallace McDowell, Jr. is the oldest of three sons to the union of Carl W. McDowell, Sr. and Regina McDowell. He was born October 24, 1958 and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. He attended Glenville HS, FDR Jr. High School and Columbia Elementary. After graduating High School in 1977, he attended Lane College in Jackson, Tenneese where he obtained his Bachelors of Science degree In Mathematics and Physics with a minor in Computer science in May 1981.

In June 1981, he relocated to Saint Louis, Missouri after accepting a position as a Cartographer with the Department of Defense, Defense Mapping Agency Aerospace Center (DMAAC). Now the agency is aligned with the Intelligence Community and is known as the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency (NGA). He is currently a Customer Service Level Agreement Process Owner who negotiates Customers Requirements for potential contractual signatures.
 
He has been employed with the agency for 26 years and counting. Over the years numerous Awards, Monetary Merits, Promotions, Educational training and Manager endeavors have been bestowed upon him.  He is a 2004 graduate of the Department of Defense one year competitive  Executive Leadership Development Program (ELDP). Currently he is a candidate for the 2008-2009 class of the Excellence in Government Fellows Program for Professional Leadership and Development.
 
In April 1982, He joined the Solomon Temple MBC, under the leadership of Pastor Albert L. Manson, Sr. In April 1984, he was crowned a Deacon. In January 1988, he accepted GODs call into the Gospel Ministry and in September 1989, he was Licensed by the Solomon Temple MBC. In June 1992, he was Ordained as a Gospel Preacher. In April 2002, Pastor Charles A. Dooley of the Revelation MBC requested his presence to assist him during his time of illness. On October 24, 2004, the Revelation MBC installed him as their Pastor.
 
He currently serves as the Second Vice Moderator of the St. Louis Progressive District Association. He is married to the former Sandra Nelson of Charleston, SC. who he met at the Agency where they both are employed. They united in Holy Matrimony on December 24, 1995. To their union they have a nine-year-old daughter Carlyncia Tamia McDowell.

However, Rev. McDowell's most important accomplishment is that he has accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior!
